Abhay K

Abhay K writes and edits poetry that ranges from original verse to translations of classical Sanskrit texts into English. A member of the 2003 batch of the Indian Foreign Service, he has been posted in Russia, Nepal, Brazil, and Madagascar. He edited Capitals (Bloomsbury India, 2017), an anthology of poems on the world's capital cities featuring contributors from across the globe, and has translated Kalidasa's Meghaduta and Ritusamhara. His collections include Monsoon (Sahitya Akademi, 2022) and Celestial (Mapin, 2023).
