Born in Pratapgarh and raised in Prayagraj (erstwhile Allahabad), Anjani Kumar Pandey was shaped by the hallowed matrix of Allahabad University. After completing his under-graduate and post graduate studies, he moved to the national capital, Delhi, to prepare for the civil services exams. Life was not easy in Mukherjee Nagar, a preferred students’ destination adjoining the North Campus of University of Delhi, but it proved rewarding because it was while living here that Anjani passed the Union Public Service Commission exams in 2010 and joined the coveted Indian Revenue Service. After working for Government of India as a bureaucrat, Anjani resigned from the government job and joined a corporate to pursue higher goals in life. Presently, he is working at Omaxe Group as a C-suite executive. In addition to his official responsibilities, Anjani has dedicated himself to the cause of specially-abled people. Moreover, he is a voracious reader and an observant writer, who, despite his time crunch, maintains a consistent writing practice and is frequently published in newspapers, magazines and online platforms. His posts, particularly on social media and digital platforms, are very popular. Allahabad Blues: Down the UPSC Lane is his third book.
